Went there in a group of 4 friends on Friday and fortunately we got their Early Bird Offer of Rs 200 off person as we reached before 7.30 pm. Always happy to receive happy offers!!
The place is HUGE for Mumbai standards and easily got a table for 4 near the buffet spread so that we don’t have to walk far for our main course 😉
The décor is great – perfect lighting and air conditioning. The evening we went, there was live music too and the musician was really good, but for Hindi songs right from beetein lamhe to gulabo. We really enjoyed our dinner over this music – one star only for this great experience.
As soon as we were seated, we were bombarded with starters and we had to actually tell them to slow down! There are sooooo many starters to choose from – Veg and non-veg both. I’m going to list some of my favorites: crispy corn was awesome and I couldn’t resist a second serving of this crispy preparation. My main focus was on non veg starters where I enjoyed fish fingers the most with tartar sauce. There are 3 variety of sauces to choose from.
And from the signature barbeque grill on our table – chicken kebabs, prawns, paneer tikka and pineapple tasted good. The grill on table is more for décor purposes though and serving the dish directly would have been fine too. It din keep the food hot for long either. Tandoori chicken and seekh kebabs were great!! Food ain’t spicy so if u enjoy spicy food you might be disappointed.
I am more of a starter person and had very little main course despite the variety – fish curry, chicken curry, soups. I tried the biryani and it was just okay, a bit dry actually.
I actually enjoyed some salad and went to d desert counter. Falooda counter had various options which was quite interesting. My friends had and appreciated the dish.
Overall a wonderful experience as we ended up spending around 2 hrs over good food and music. Since we were hungry coming right from work, we had a great appetite to eat this lavish spread. However, if you are not very hungry and not starving, I wouldn’t recommend this place as then it ain’t value for money! It is generally priced at an expensive side, especially for weekend dinners.
