Located at one of the poshest localities – Bandra Pali Hill – Pali Bhavan gives a heritage look of Mumbai. The architecture takes you back to the classic era giving royal feel to the place.
We went on a Sunday evening and luckily got reservation easily. It serves mostly Indian cuisine and we tried tomato soup and rassam to start with. Both tasted good.
Starters came next – we ordered Mumbai’s authentic Vada Pav and the presentation made them look like mini Indian Burgers – great to taste too. What really blew my mind was their fish starter – amazingly soft fish with the right amount of spices – perfecto!
Next was the main course and butter chicken could not be missed – I personally found it a bit on a sweet side so wasn’t a wow preparation. The second chicken curry we ordered was also okayish. Dal was awesome to taste – Dal Tadka to be precise.
Overall a good place – nothing to complain but nothing very attractive either.
