I haven’t been to many restaurants which boast of “affordable” quality food as usually quality comes at a price. However, Maharaja Bhog defies the odds – a pure vegetarian Indian restaurant serving Indian Thali.
Ambience – Simple. Very family friendly. The place is located on the food court of Inorbit Mall at Malad and usually always on waiting, albeit not more than 20 mins. The decor is simple with masala displays and well lit and air conditioned.
Service – When you are serving Thali, different people want different dishes at the same time. The waiters could create a chaos shooting out the names of the dishes but not at Maharaja Bhog – they have silent sign language to signal d dish to each other! Very smartly done. They are very friendly and keeps following up with you to ensure you don’t go hungry.
Food – There are different Thali Menu everyday and always exotic. It starts with a welcome drink which was a bit disappointed. The main course usually consists of 2 dals, 2 sabjis, 2 kadhis, papad / friams, pickles and 2 starters. The taste was great and had a good time choosing from 3 types of breads such as Roti, Puri,, methi roti. They also serve lassi to help you digest so much food – great!!
Value for Money: Rs 400 for a Thali is a STEAL! Quality was brilliant and total paisa vasool with unlimited Thali concept.
I strongly recommend this place if you’re a vegetarian and is looking for a celebration with family! !
