Went to Moksh with cousins on a Friday evening and found the ambience very nice. It’s décor is quite interesting with the walls filled with some artifacts or posters. The lighting and music is also v nice.
We were around 10 of us and started with soups – Tom Yum Soup – nice, Hot n Sour – v spicy and Lemon Coriander soup which was quite ordinary. None of the soups had the wow factor and appeared to have been prepared in a lotta hurry. For starters we ordered Kung Pao Chicken – tasty but again on a spicier side, Stuffed Tandoori Mushrooms – which was the best amongst all starters and very delicious! Golden Fried Baby Corn was totally avoidable and even among the 10 of us we cudnt finish the entire dish! It tasted of uncooked besan.. Anyway – pls avoid.
For main course we tried Grilled Chicken – pls pls do NOT try it. Very few restaurants in Nagpur can do justice to this dish and this place wasn’t one of it. However, unlike the starters the main course of Khow Suey – both Veg and Chicken tasted AMAZING! Everyone loved it and it was a savior for the day!! Apart from this, fried rice with stir fry in exotic vegetables was also simply delicious and I loved it!! My father had butter chicken and roti and being a classic dish it was prepared well too.
Overall, although the soups n starters were a bit of a disappointment, we thoroughly enjoyed the main course. Oh and ofcourse there were Christmas special deserts and chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream was finger licking good!! We actually fought over it and relived our childhood memories!!
The hospitality was great – polite staff, swift service, no complaints there. Being a lounge its priced decently but value for money in respect of starters wasn’t high enough.
Overall, a decent experience. My suggestion would be to work on some dishes a lit more and take upfront info from customers about how spicy they want their food to be. Other than this, a definite visit!
